Condé Nast today announced the debut of WIRED Greece, set to launch in spring 2026, marking the latest international expansion of the influential technology and culture publication. The new edition is produced by Prima Materia PC, the team behind TEDxAthens, Found.ation, and Apeiron Ventures.
Niko Efstathiou, journalist and author, will lead the Greek edition. WIRED Greece will explore the country’s growing tech ecosystem and the people driving its development.
“Greece has no shortage of brilliant minds working quietly at the frontiers of technology and science,” said Efstathiou. “WIRED Greece will surface those stories, connecting rigorous journalism with the ideas reshaping how we live, work, and think.”
Expanding a global network
Since its founding in 1993, WIRED has examined the impact of technology on society, science, and the economy. WIRED Greece joins a global network of successful editions that includes the U.S., U.K., Middle East, Mexico, Japan, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
“We’re thrilled to bring WIRED to Greece to amplify the voices of those shaping what’s next,” said Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou, publisher of WIRED Greece. “From live events to digital and print, we’ll connect ideas that matter, and push boundaries in bringing Greece’s boldest voices to the world.”
Launching across print and digital
WIRED Greece will launch simultaneously in print and online. The new edition will offer coverage of emerging technologies alongside reporting on their cultural, societal, and business implications.
“As Greece’s entrepreneurial community gains momentum, we’re thrilled to introduce this cutting-edge title into a startup ecosystem that mirrors WIRED’s commitment to innovation and purpose,” said Christiane Mack, Chief Content Operations Officer at Condé Nast.
