Sofia will host Powers Summit to involve business leaders and public authorities in a dialog

On the 14th of December, as part of the global business and technology event Webit Global Impact Week 2021, Sofia will host the Powers Summit to bring together key stakeholders from the public, private, and business sectors. Taking place in Sofia Tech Park, Powers Summit will provide its participants with a platform for constructive dialog.

With this goal, the forum will gather in person the leaders of all national political formations to enable cross-communication and real-time problem-solving of business, social, and science issues. Powers Summit is organized by Webit Foundation and The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. The Recursive is a media partner of the event.

“The Bulgarian Davos will provide an entirely new forum for gathering stakeholders form the Bulgarian government, business, science and social sectors. Together with The Atlantic Club Bulgaria, we took on the initiative and the responsibility to develop a platform for open, transparent, and constructive dialogue,” said Dr. Plamen Rusev, Chair of the Webit Foundation and a co-organizer of Powers Summit.

Sustainable economic recovery, Smart cities, and green energy

The event will unfold in a couple of separate thematic modules with each module being divided into three sessions. The main business and innovation themes that will be covered are The Plan for National Recovery and Development, Green energy and the European Green deal, Smart cities and cybersecurity, Healthcare, Banks and fintech, and Education.

In addition, each theme will be examined in detail during the Discussion Panels which will present the perspective of business leaders in the industry, The Good Practices Session, and The “I hear you” Session in which politicians will summarize the key takeaways and propose an action roadmap.

Covering everything related to enterprise, policies, and startups, the hybrid Webit Global Impact Week will take place in the period 14 – 18th of December 2021. As with every previous event of the Webit Foundation, the Global Impact Week will take the form of a  B2B and B2G tech festival.
