VERTIK Group will host the first Financing & IPO Summit 2025 at BT Stup in Bucharest, Romania — an event aimed at founders seeking alternatives to self-funding and bank loans. The summit is supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and local partners.
Romanian companies still rely heavily on traditional financing: data cited by organizers shows 65% use only self-financing or bank credit. The summit is designed to map out other options — private investment, public markets, and EU-level instruments — and clarify what companies must do to qualify.
The summit targets founders and leadership teams of companies with annual revenues above €1 million and expansion plans that exceed current budgets.
“In our ongoing dialogue with entrepreneurs, we see just how critical the need is for strategic development, for strengthening teams, and for consolidating the internal resources of the companies they’ve built and developed.
Through VERTIK, we stand by their side in the process of preparing to attract non-bank financing or investors. It is a complex journey requiring time and discipline, and this event brings together our partners’ essential expertise and resources to help companies navigate their organizational transformation,” said Daniela Maior and Daniela Aldescu, Partners and Co-founders of VERTIK.
Bridging funding gaps
The program combines panels, case-study presentations, and four practical workshops on digitization, internal audit, due diligence, and investor communications. Attendees will be able to engage directly with institutional leaders, investors, and advisors across the financing chain.
The keynote address will be delivered by Ioannis Tsakiris, Vice-President of the EIB, on strengthening capital markets across the EU, a strategic EIB priority.
“The Capital Markets Union is one of the eight core strategic priorities of the EIB Group“, stated EIB Vice-President Ioannis Tsakiris.
“We’re pioneering EU-level financial instruments that will serve as the foundation for a genuine capital markets union, designed to finance Europe’s technology champions, innovators, unicorns, and smaller banks. We bridge funding gaps, foster European innovation, and drive sustainability investments. In Romania, our partnership fuels economic growth while boosting investor confidence and market transparency.”
VERTIK Group — comprising the management consulting firm VERTIK and the VERTIK for the Future NGO, a development and investment think tank — designed the event with BusinessMark.
