How to Web, the Romanian technology and innovation conference, brings together developers, innovators, and investors to help lead tech products into startups. Joined by Google for Startups, BCR Social Finance, and Orange Romania, the team rallied a new community dedicated to founders that want to increase their chances of a successful “Launch“.
“Launch is democratizing the access to the most important resources that a startup founder has,” shared Bogdan Iordache, founder of How to Web & co-organizer in Launch. The platform has started giving free access to any founder looking for expertise, capital, and pilot projects since February. Until now around 15 entrepreneurs have joined.
The community’s process is simple, it starts with a three-week program to show the founders the opportunities. This step is followed by monthly check-ins to develop a growth working path. New founders have the possibility of discovering blockers and have one on one sessions with experienced entrepreneurs to discuss future steps. “It is important for us to grow a relevant and sustainable business environment, that is why we complete the business modules with an applied one to the responsibility towards the environment and society”, adds Monica Obogeanu, Startups Program Manager at Orange Romania.
“Google for Startups helps founders and their startups to grow through digital products, mentors, and top resources,” mentions Dan Oros, Head of Marketing at Google & YouTube Romania from Google for Startups.
Amongst the 100 mentors, are people from Google, BCR, Orange, Adobe, Microsoft, UiPath, Bolt, Globo, Mastercard, Verifone, METRO. digital Romania, TypingDNA, FintechOS, Pago, SmartBill, Mobilpay, Zitech, Earlybird Venture Capital, Simple Capital, eMag Ventures, Gapminder Venture Partners, Seedblink, to name a few.
Launch is available until the 26th of April for Romanian founders to enter the third cohort of startups. The platform will be open monthly for submissions. All founders have to share a product or a pilot project and a pitch deck to show the growth potential.
“BCR Social Finance supports entrepreneurship with social impact, to create fresh and healthy tech startups that can grow and scale locally so that their founders would continue to stay in Romania”, shared Stefan Buciuc, CEO of BCR Social Finance.
