LatticeFlow AI, a Swiss deep-tech company with Bulgarian founder at the helm, specializing in evidence-based AI governance, today announced at the World Economic Forum the acquisition of AI Sonar, a Dublin-based AI discovery platform and wholly owned subsidiary of CloudSphere.
The transaction aims to establish LatticeFlow AI as the industry’s first provider of an end-to-end, evidence-based AI governance solution that securely connects on-premise AI discovery and evaluation with centralized SaaS governance operations. AI Sonar’s platform will continue to be offered under its existing brand name.
AI Discovery into the core of AI governance
With the acquisition, LatticeFlow AI introduces what it describes as the industry’s first governance stack that natively combines AI discovery, technical evaluation, and lifecycle governance across generative AI, agentic AI, and traditional machine learning systems.
AI Sonar’s technology enables enterprises and independent software vendors to automatically detect and catalogue AI systems, including so-called “shadow AI” deployed without centralized oversight. Integrated with LatticeFlow AI’s evaluation capabilities, the combined platform provides continuous, evidence-backed insight into AI risks, performance, and compliance.
“AI governance cannot work without visibility,” said Dr. Petar Tsankov, CEO and Co-Founder of LatticeFlow AI.
“This acquisition reinforces our leadership in evidence-based AI governance by making clear that AI governance is a technical discipline, much like cybersecurity, and must be embedded directly into the technology stack, not managed through paper checklists or dashboards. With AI Sonar, we can scan both on-prem and cloud environments to discover AI systems and govern them end-to-end, securely, privately, and at scale,” Tsankov shared on their blog.
Dublin Becomes Third R&D Hub as Engineering Teams Combine
As part of the deal, LatticeFlow AI assumes full ownership of AI Sonar’s platform, IP, and engineering operations. Dublin will become the company’s third research and development hub, alongside Zurich, Switzerland, and Sofia, Bulgaria.
The AI Sonar engineering team will continue to develop the enterprise-grade discovery platform, now fully aligned with LatticeFlow AI’s product roadmap. Paul Mansfield, former CTO of CloudSphere, will join LatticeFlow AI to lead the combined engineering organization.
Looking ahead, LatticeFlow AI plans to further extend its governance capabilities in line with enterprise security needs and evolving regulatory requirements, supporting organizations as AI systems scale in volume and complexity.
