Romanian-founded Digitail, a developer of AI-driven practice management software for veterinary clinics, has secured a $23 (€19.94) million Series B round, led by Five Elms Capital with participation from existing investors Atomico, Partech, Byfounders, Gradient, and others.
With this new funding, Digitail plans to accelerate product development, expand its AI capabilities, and scale global operations.
Reimagining the veterinary workday through a unified platform
Founded in 2018 by Sebastian Gabor and Ruxandra Pui, Digitail was created to modernize veterinary workflows through a connected, all-in-one platform. Its mission is to reduce administrative strain and empower clinics to deliver more efficient, personalized care.
“Veterinary professionals are the backbone of pet care, yet they’ve long relied on outdated, fragmented tools,” said Sebastian Gabor, CEO and Co-founder of Digitail.
Gabor pointed out that their aim is to build the most comprehensive AI-native operating system for clinics, aiming to help teams be more efficient. “Partnering with Five Elms Capital allows us to accelerate innovation and enhance every aspect of the customer experience,” he added.
Digitail’s cloud-based platform integrates scheduling, medical records, invoicing, client communication, inventory management, wellness plans, and a companion pet-parent app. Its suite of over 15 AI-powered workflows, including smart patient intake, AI-driven SOAP note dictation, and automated record summaries.
Significant customer expansion
Over the past year, Digitail has more than doubled its customer base, now serving over 10,000 veterinarians and 3 million pet parents across independent practices, multi-location clinics, and mobile vets.
Reed Edwards, Principal at Five Elms Capital, said, “From our first meeting, it was clear Digitail shared our belief that great software should empower people—not add to their workload. The company’s platform is redefining what’s possible in veterinary care, and we’re excited to help them scale their mission of delivering exceptional care at every clinic.”
In 2023, the company raised over €10 million in a Series A round, led by European VC Atomico.
