Until September 20, 2021, startup teams with ideas for technological solutions, can apply for the Katalizator online program and get the chance to develop a minimum viable product, a business strategy, and attract the first clients of their product or service.

Katalizator is organized by  START Centre and virtual office services company VIRTUO and supported by the Swiss Entrepreneurship Program, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as other partner organizations and funds from the regional startup ecosystem like regional VC South Central Ventures, Serbian-based ICT Hub, Infobip Startup Tribe, Bulgarian Vitosha Venture Partners, Startup Macedonia, and others.

A regional tech accelerator program for turning ideas into MVP

Happening between October 1 and December 10, 2021, the non-competitive program will educate 10 ambitious startup teams with scalable business ideas, providing them with the fundamentals of lean startup methodology, business model, customer, and MVP development. The participants will also dive into the specifics of fundraising and prepare their pitches to showcase their progress during the demo day of the program (December 10, 2021).

The different modules of the program comprise workshops and mentoring sessions with regional startup founders, business experts, and investors, such as Jan Kobler, Managing Partner at South Central Ventures, Luka Sučić, Partner at Meta Change Capital, and Luka Prisunjak, Business Designer at ICT Hub VC.

The main criteria for startup founders are to have a tech-powered idea and a strong and highly motivated team, willing to dedicate time for the development of their business. Teams must present basic market research to persuade the organizers of the program of the potential of their idea.

The application will be done through the Vestbee fundraising and deal platform. Through it, participants will also gain additional benefits like access to AWS, Digital Ocean, Revolut, and other services for startups.
