The jury consisted of more than 250 investors and late-stage VC representatives, evaluating the founders of 4,500 companies across 150 countries.

Among the 5 winners are AwanTunai, inHEART where CEO and Chairman is the Bulgarian engineer Todor Jeliaskov, and BeeHero, addressing challenges in sectors ranging from fintech to sustainable agriculture, and healthcare.

Webit Foundation, the international event for the digital, technology, and entrepreneurial ecosystem with a special focus on EMEA, hosted its Founders Games Grand finals in Davos during the World Economic Forum (WEF), where 12 growth companies pitched their solutions and business ventures.

Founders Games Finalists were selected from over 4,500 companies from 150 countries. The competition was held in 5 rounds, before the grand final.

The jury panel included more than 250 investors and late-stage VC representatives, such as Rich Nuzum from Mercer, Oliver Holle from Speedinvest, Nityen Lal from ICOS Capital, and Clemente Francavilla from Plug & Play.

The Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov was among the guests at the event, as well as Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and the member of the European Union Eva Maydel, among others.

The Winners

AwanTunai is a fintech company based in Indonesia. It aims to digitize the offline FMCG supply chain. The company addresses operational and financial challenges for offline suppliers by integrating ERP software plug-ins and embedded financing solutions.

AwanTunai raised $100,000 in the competition.

 

Jentis – a European Data Capture Platform (DCP) that aims to reshape the future of data-driven marketing in a privacy-first world. JENTIS DCP consists of three main components: Capture: Server-side tracking, various data enrichments as well as raw data availability, Control: Compliant processing and data masking, Share: Integrations for compliant data flow to 3rd party marketing and analytics tools. Jentis has an  international team of developers, data experts, mathematicians and marketing specialists with team members from all over the CEE region – Romania, Hungary and Germany.

They managed to secure $100,000 at the Webit Founders Games.

 

Nilus‘develops technology to directly source food at risk of spoilage from farmers and producers. This food is then distributed to low-income communities. Their operations take place in Argentina, Mexico and Peru. By leveraging technology and promoting community-led initiatives, Nilus is focused on tackling food waste, as well as affordable supply.

The company received $100,000 support at the Grand Finals.

 

BeeHero‘s mission is to tackle the alarming decline of bee populations. BeeHero installs advanced sensors in both hives and fields, strategically collecting audio and biological data. By applying proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) analysis, BeeHero transforms this data for beekeepers and producers. Currently, they operate in the US and Australia.

The startup secured a funding of $300,000.

 

inHEART is a French company that specializes in developing software solutions designed specifically for cardiologists. inHEART creates digital duplicates of patients’ hearts. These digital images aim to serve as tools for cardiologists, offering support in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and assisting in the prediction, screening, and prevention of various heart diseases in the general population.

At the finals, the startup raised $200,000.
