In a Nutshell

  • Romanian Humans.ai announced that it has acquired Starfish Technologies, a blockchain engineering studio.
  • The deal will further advance the development of AI in the blockchain industry.

Advancing the Integration of AI and Blockchain

Bucharest-based AI and blockchain technology provider Humans.ai, founded in 2019 by Florin Otto and Lucian Nicolescu, brings together a community of stakeholders interested in using AI.

Their flagship product, TensorChain, offers a decentralized solution specifically designed for high-dimensional data processing. It aims to enhance blockchain’s capability to manage AI deployment by utilizing tensor-based operations in sectors like finance, healthcare, and supply chain management.

Humans.ai has advanced AI adoption in the public sector by launching ION, the world’s first AI Government Adviser, which is currently deployed by the Romanian government.

The AI-powered adviser was created by researchers to analyze Romanian citizens’ opinions on key issues and policies. People are able to chat with Ion on the project’s website.

Leveraging Synergies

“This acquisition is more than just a strategic expansion of our R&D capabilities; it’s a significant move toward a future where AI is powerful, accessible, fair, and decentralized,” shared Sabin Dima, the CEO of Humans.ai.

Starfish Technologies is a blockchain engineering studio. The company’s clients include Animoca Brands, OneFootball, Phantom Galaxies, Grease Monkey, among others.

Razvan Costin, the founder of Starfish Technologies, will join Humans.ai as Head of Innovation and a board member. “I am proud to unite with Humans.ai and work together towards our shared mission to advance artificial intelligence through decentralization,” said Costin.

“Together, we are continuing to develop TensorChain. This blockchain innovation has the potential to redefine how AI integrates into everyday life,” he added.
