DEV.BG All in One Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria – August 26, 2022

DEV.BG All in One is an annual conference which brings together over 2,500 professionals from the tech world. This year the conference will have its fifth edition, bringing together participants and speakers developing outstanding projects. If you want to learn more about the role of IT in civilization, ethical AI or how AI works in the real world, this is the place to be.

The event is organized by DEV.BG, which holds over 160 specialized events annually that enable IT experts from various technological fields to exchange knowledge and experience. Starting its journey as an IT community and turned into a leading tech job board, DEV.BG provides an excellent platform for IT professionals to search jobs, exchange ideas, and share knowledge.

Infobip Shift Conference in Zadar, Croatia – September 19-20, 2022

Infobip Shift is one of the largest developer conferences in Southeast Europe. Shift has gathered the global developer community for more than a decade, establishing itself as one of the most relevant events for developers, software engineers, product owners, startup founders,  IT experts, and enthusiasts of all kinds. 

Last year, Shift became a part of the first Croatian unicorn Infobip, which acquired the conference and appointed its founder and CEO Ivan Burazin as Chief Developer Experience Officer.

This September, more than 14.000 attendees from all over the world will gather at the conference in the seaside city of Zadar in Croatia, making it the biggest edition of the event yet.

Init full-stack conference in Banja Luka, Bosnia and HerzegovinaSeptember 24, 2022

Bosnia-based Init is a conference focused on developing a thriving software development community in the city of Banja Luka and the region. Organized by developers for developers, INIT provides its participants with an opportunity to upgrade their skills and connect with talented people from the industry.

This year’s edition will feature 20 prominent speakers from the development community, who will offer their thoughts on the current state and the future of software development. Speaker tracks and workshops will be devoted to both veterans and software industry newbies.

Southeast European Software Testing Conference (SEETEST 2022) in Sofia, Bulgaria – September 29-30, 2022

The SEETEST 2022 (Southeast European Testing Conference) is a conference in the area of software testing and software quality management.

Every year, the physical location of the conference is rotated between the countries, covered by the conference’s organizer, SEETB (South East European Testing Board). 

This year’s edition will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria and feature four tracks which will include tutorials by some of the best known names in the software testing industry such as Eficode’s Szilar Szell, DevelopSense’ Michael Bolton, or EPAM Systems’ Julie Gardiner, covering topics such as Security Testing, Test Automation, Mobile Testing, AI, Cloud Testing, Test Management, and many more.

Voxxed Days in Cluj-Napoca, Romania – October 5-7, 2022

Voxxed Days is a developer conference in the city of Cluj-Napoca in Romania that brings together more than thousand participants annually, with core developers of popular open source technologies and professionals willing to share their knowledge and experiences. 

Voxxed Days Romania is part of the extended Devoxx family – annual technology conferences organized by developers for developers around the world, welcoming more than 17 thousands developers spread across Belgium, France, Poland, UK, Morocco, Ukraine, and an additional 14 Voxxed Days cities around the globe.

With several tracks on different topics such as Java, DevOps or Machine Learning, Voxxed Days Romania will offer attendees the opportunity to learn new skills and learn from experts in hands-on workshops on specific technology or methodology. 

Armada JS in Novi Sad, Serbia – October 06-07, 2022

Armada JS is a JavaScript conference happening in Novi Sad, Serbia, aiming to strengthen the JavaScript community in the region by bringing it together while inspiring and fostering cooperation.

The conference program will cover a wide range of JavaScript-related topics with more than 20 speakers, both international and domestic, on two parallel tracks during two days, gathering 400+ back-end, front-end and full-stack developers.

This year’s edition will feature topics such as architecture of modern JS applications; Node.js: best practices, performance, memory management; JS engines (V8, SpiderMonkey, ChakraCore, etc.), and more. 

Heapcon in Belgrade, Serbia – November 03-04, 2022

Heapcon is a full-stack conference taking place in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, made by a group of professionals from multidisciplinary fields, including: software engineering, project management, marketing, communications, and publishing.

The conference welcomes all fans of information technology eager for interesting stories and hearing experiences of experts from all over the world.

The conference puts 14 years of IT event management into practice, bringing together software engineers and tech businesses, and world-renowned speakers to the Balkans, while also aiming to showcase regional expertise, too.

WeAreDevelopers in Berlin, Germany – June 2022

A worthy mention goes to the WeAreDevelopers conference, annually held in Berlin, Germany. After a couple of years of hiatus due to COVID-19 pandemic, this year the conference was back as an offline event, where developers met up with their peers and got recent insights on software development and best practices from the industry. 

This year’s edition gathered more than 8,000 developers and 250 speakers discussing software development and future tech trends, as well as hiring and retaining IT talent. 

The conference has Balkan roots, with its CEO Sead Ahmetovic coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and WeAreDevelopers itself hosting plenty of companies and IT professionals from the Balkans.
